‘The Conflict in Hand’ at Stupefying Stories

Author Pete Wood occasionally holds private writing challenges with prizes for the chosen stories. Seven stories were chosen for a micro fiction challenge with a “secondhand” theme. My entry of “The Conflict in Hand” was awarded first place.

The award came with a monetary prize that was donated to the Ukraine Crisis Fundraiser by Choose Love. I could have used the money for many things—perhaps medical supplies—but being able assistance in the real-life conflict was important to me.

All seven stories have been published in Stupefying Stories, including “Secondhand Hugs Still Have All the Warmth” by Carol Scheina and “Ties That Bind” by the recently passed Melissa Mead.

Please take a look.
